Physical Therapist Assistant
Melissa brings over 13 years of compassionate physical therapy experience to Atrium Physical Therapy, with a strong background in geriatric and neurologic rehabilitation. She earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from St. Catherine University in 2012 and went on to complete her Bachelor of Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant at St. Kate’s in 2023.
With extensive time working across Transitional Care Units, long-term care facilities, and nine years of in-home physical therapy, Melissa is deeply dedicated to helping older adults stay safe, mobile, and independent. She is also a certified Falls Prevention Specialist and serves on St. Kate’s Community Advisory Committee, helping guide the future of PTA education.
Melissa’s warm and encouraging approach helps patients feel supported and motivated every step of their recovery journey.
Outside of the clinic, Melissa enjoys a full and active life-she is married with two daughters and also teaches dance. She loves reading, walking, exercising, music, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.
